Summit Oaks was built as a speculative office building which at the time was one of only a few spec office buildings to achieve LEED Silver certification. The mechanical system consists of water cooled VAV packaged units on each floors with a remote closed circuit fluid cooler at grade level near the adjacent parking structure. Exterior zone reheat is provided by a gas fire boiler located at the roof. Western Allied designed and installed the LONworks control system which optimizes system performance and provides a simple user interface.
